- INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP CAMP!
Something that had great impact on me.. or rather most of us… there were Henderson school students, UW college SEA, tanglin trust, chestnut drive…
Really the thing that I remember most after the camp is about the difference between the culture of the foreigners and our Singaporeans… the way they behave is something that is not really accepted in today’ schools.. it’s like if you see a guy and a girl behaing like that when they’re just friends, I’ve really nothing to say.. but it’s because of where they’re from, they find it so normal! Lots more.. but I’ll tell you personally if you really wanna know *winks* and they’re more stuffs like… the satay dropped onto the grass but they just barbecue and eat.. .they look down on Singaporeans and rather not mix with us… they like taking the lead… they think that whatever they say is right.. they are not really open to our ideas.. they’re very open minded… and the list goes on!
- when Fiona, mt, and I got to know of our results on the way back from camp.. we were quite upset.. we studied like crazy and the marks were like –so low- whereas when we didn’t study as hard for the prev exams, we scored much better… haix… met sarah and kim… went to find ms quah to double check paper… at first only Fiona was tearing.. but when ms quah said she had given our papers to the resp teachers, and as talking asked for our marks, I started crying too.. and then 1 by 1… by then, the staff room was filled with ppl, everyone looking at us.. then mdm choo walked pass… sshe gave us a scolding.. which at then didn’t seem sense to me.. but after, it did! It’s not the end yet!without even getting your results, how can you all cry?!! … we were asked to wash our faces and come find her and ms quah.. and we did…mdm choo spoke to us.. and then ms quah… and then we made a deal.. if tau family were to enter 3e1, we’ll give ms quah a treat.. but if we dun, thenwe owe her a treat!... and ya… after tthat.. went for lunch and then back home ...

- last day of school [26 october 07]

we got our report books.. results weren’t as good.. but I know I did my best and will continue to work hard.. almost lost hope of getting into 3e1… cos I got b3 for maths

HOLIDAYS FILLED WITH GUIDES!
- 27 october 2007. South Division Day. Hari Raya at mdm linda’s house
South division day.. hmmm… at kcps… ashmitha and I participated in the sandwich making competition.. felt that we were quite prepared.. judges were mdm choo, ms chin and mrs das.. photographer- ms leng… hahass … we had the biggest explanation chart and heard that we were one of the top for it.. mdm choo asked some ques that I still remember the answer for.. the orange juice was high in vitamin a,c and e and has no trans fats!.. hahas.. though hss gg didn’t win, still a great job, I guess!
Uhoh.. and the cheerleading, CHIJ TPY were like WOAHH! .. hahas.. they were all like so high and crazy…
Left the place.. on the way to j8, played playground for a while (and ashmitha took a video!) and we all have a suaku name now.. hahas.. I’m dododo XD …
Then went to eat lunch with mt at j8.. went to buy chocolate for mdm linda.. and we were late.. sarah and kim were already waiting for us.. and mt made me walk round the sopping centre 3 times! Just to find the $1 ear rings where till now, we dunnoe where it is!! Made kim and sarah wait like 45 mins!!
Then met them.. kim wore skirt! Woow!:D went mdm linda’s hse and on the way, kim stepped on dog poo.. ew! Peehew!... it was like in the centre of the walk way.. reached mdm linda’s house.. Lea was like so cute! (: hahas.. then we ate some food.. ms wu came… ms chandran came. And there were some hss senior stundets there before us.. left around 6.. reached home around 7+..

- 31 October 2007. Promoting HSS in Radin Mas Pri.
Singapore heart Foundation Orientation
Mt and I overlooked the time to meet so decided to meet the rest at radin mas.. but in the end, managed to meet them in school.. took a cab with mang teng and qiao ting.. went to radin mas pri.. promoting hss!hahas… its like we’re the only ones from Henderson walking around to callpeople over and bring them around.. the rest were like just standing there and when we talk also nvr help!
Then mt and I went down to eat.. its like all stalls only give you spoon, no forks! But really cheap la.. rice with curry and dishes (mt bought) came in bowl! .. then we left.. take taxi back to school cos only 10 mins for the health mapping ex orientation to start… reached on time.. quite a lot of ppl later than us. Then we got into our groups.. blab la bla.. talk talk talk.. learn this and that… finally ended! Go home!

- 1 November 2007. Bird Watching Course
Yea! Finally! Hahas.. learnt a lot during this course.. had a fun time looking at birds and describing them.. and for a first time, my bird looked nice(: heh.. the weather was great and our observations were made.. field notebook to be ready soon! Cheerleading competition on sat! 2 days! So much to do!

IT lesson in school in the morning…. Then, went gg room.. met the rest- anika, ashmitha, pariza, meiqin… at first we were a little play here play there.. but suddenly everyone became serious.. thanks to yishi and shiyan who helped alittle with the costumes.. we tried standing on each other but it just didn’t work.. but we still manage to come up with something good!

- 3 November 2007. Cedar Amazing Race
We all met at redhill at 7? Pariza’s uncle fetched us and sent us to sentosa.. and he paid for all our entry fees! We were so determined to win this competition that we kept practicing the cheers on the way.. the moment we reached, we got into our costume that we prepared.. paariza put on make up for us and soon the competition began.. every qroup said a cheer.. it was more like a cheering competition rather than a cheerleading competition.. we were theonly ones all dressed and with make ups on.. hahas.. then is was amazing race time.. since we had nothing to do, we decided to join the amazing race. But what an amazing race it was! We started off excited and ran.. and It was like not even 5m, and the cedar guide leader stopped us.. stopp! Stop running! We were all confused.. we thought something had happened.. then she was like just walking normally.. then we started running again and she stopped us.. and she said we aren’t supposed to run (which is so NOT TRUE! ) we were saying thingd like : it’s an amazing race.. were supoosed to run!, everyone else is running, they didn’t say we cant run… but she like just dun care and walk… so we all no choice walk.. then we started grumbling.. like that we sure last.. how to play amazing race like that. Etc. .then when mt sad I’m going to complain to teacher,.. the cedar ldr took her handphone and called someoneand was talking.. she walked so fast and didn’t even turn back ONCE to see if we were following.. we felt that this was quite rude of her as a leader… then she walked somewhere and sat on the steps.. when we reached her, she was tearing.. and we like all dunnoe-what-to-do.. it’s like… and she didn’t like bother.. she just looked away.. till mang teng and I said, can we like carry on? Only then dd therest start moving and she followed.. we went to our 1st station like after more than an hour! Then done. Went to second station. When reached there, then the cedar ldr told anika that the station might have been changed to another beach.. it was like she expect anika to come and tell us.. but just to confirm the station wasn’t there, mt and I ran to the bridge and back. .and we saw anika and ashmitha playing with their feets in the water… as mang teng and I were running towards the bridge we were already saying that the water current was so strong and its very dangerous to go into the water at this time.. so the minute we saw them in, we were quite angry.. mang teng gave them a few words, only to find out the cedar ldr was playing with her shoes in the water too.. we were pissed.. I mean as a leader we expected her to tell them and not do it with them.. haix.. then we took the bus to the other beach.. in the bus, she didn’t sit with us either… upon reaching the beach, we started walking (COS WE ARENT SUPPOSED TO RUN!).. we seemed so aimless… just walk and walk.. at first, at the start of the game, she said we are supposed to go in front and she follow.. but then, its like we were just walking and walking following her… I felt so terrible.. I cant imagine myself walking so aimlessly in life!
Finally after 1 hr, we reach the station.. we finished our task in less than 5 mins and found our place to go to for next station..we walked and saw the tram coming and ran to it..and then she shouted WAIT WHERE ARE YOU ALL GOING?!! Then I said we have to go to the imbiah lookout, so we’re taking the tram to the 2nd stop and she was like no, you have to go to the beach. Go to the endpoint.. we were all like so shocked! But we still took the tram.. then the bus.. we were the last grp to reach..there, we had collage competition and poem writing… we did ours.. then once we were done, us, the cheerleading girls for the day :p went around taking photos and the main attraction- OUR SOCKS! Hahas.. then it was the prize giving session… we won the cheerleading competition! Yayy!1stt!!!!! and the hss team won 2 games!

Taps and dismissal. we, cheerleading girls, went for the sky and luge ride...at first we thought we can take the family one.. but she say we not family so cant.. then we were like pls pls… then she say cant. Then we were standing arnd the counter deciding how when suddenly, the lady said, ok la.. I give you the $5 one.. which is the islander price! And we were all ike omggg!hahas.. we saved so much of money.. and the person beind us gave us a free ticket too!! Then we queued.. and soon our turn.. hahas.. the luge queue was like sooo long under the sun.. and there was this girl who cut q right infront of me.. if she cut behind or somewhere right infront I dun mind la.. but directly infront of me! Not gonna let her off! Heh
Me: excuse me, we’re in the queue
Father: nvr mind nvr mind 1 person only
Me: then everyone also 1 person 1 person go infront ah?
Father: no she need go class
Me: ya she also need go class.. she need go home... cannot..
Father: nvr mind la.. she need go class 1 person only..
No use arguing.. we decided not to let her go infront of us.. in the end she just go away… soon, our turn.. hahas.. luge ride was fun!!
Kept banging each other, usually on purpose.. and pariza so pro bang right into the board that said SLOW.. hahas… fun time together!!
Then went home…

- 6 November 2007.Pen Pal Thinking Day Post card exchange programme
This was a joint project with the GGAS and Singapore Tourism board.. we each were given an address and name (Pen Pal) mine was the Ass commissioner for Girl Guides China.. we also saw some guides who had come from America… after that, dismissed.. we went to eat kfc and later, left..

- 9 November 2007. Bird Watching Follow Up
Met in school.. then all went to find mdm choo… she commented abt all our field notebooks.. and my legs were all wobbly after that.. mdm choo wanted to spend $100 + just like that to buy 15 books! And I kept telling her it’s wasting money… so meiqin, anika,mt,ashmitha and I went opp.. we searched the shops and found a notebook that was hardcovered, weaved but has lines.. save more than $60! … asked mdm choo and she said ok!
We had fun bargaining.. then later went to eat.. and went back school… did our birdwatching.. and then left..

- 12-14 November 2007. NACLI Camp
NACLI Camp.. Fun… and lots of things happened.. girl guides camp still the best! Hehe.. we had lots of games and things to plan etc.. team building.. supporting…etc..
Sarah and I same group.. Fiona and mt same group.. kim in diff group =X I liked and didn’t like my group.. didn’t know why but got irritated quite easily in the camp.. it’s like I just cant stand their attitude.. and they come for a leadership training camp! Its like arghh .. if it was girl guides even if i would have like shouted at them if they were to behave like that… but here, I just didn’t do anything… mainly what I did was to observe.. just observe see how to lead, how they resond, how to tackle etc.. I rarely said anything to contribute..
To be a good leader, you first have to be a good follower
Not going to say more… anything asking me personally is best… so that the wrong person in anycase doesn’t read the wrong team.. but just to et everyone reading know, HENDERSON BROKE 2 RECORDS!! 3 Cheers for HENDERSON!
Henderson broke 2 reconrds in the NACLI book of records.. proudly, by our basketballers (:

- 16 November 2007 RHAPSODY!
RHAPSODY! We all met.. went.. Singapore conference hall.. mt and I sat together.. separated from rest.. the time you get to see many of your own schoolmates in nice clothes.. the concert was really very well done! Great! Superb! Fantastic! Hahas.. their months of effort and practice really paid off… so sweet of kim! She got us (Tau Family) a rose each .. velvet- so that it could last forever… talked with ms quah about the dates of class gathering and guess I’m gonna have a problem =X will try work it out though..

- 17 November 2007. GBS and GGS partnership for PEACE PROJECT
PEACE! Hahas..
Met pariza at 7. 10? .. .had breakfast at bukit merah mc.. the rest came.. and then we went fmss.. for the GBS-GGS PEACE Project… had a talk … then reception.. yum!.. then went to classrooms.. did role play.. hahas.. shiyan acted as the mother so cutteee! Then we wrote things abt how to upkeep peace and made into a dove (: then hall.. talk talk..then dismiss!.. and home!

Oh.. ytd was Fairfield pri graduation day and night.. haii.. my friend was telling me abt it that al of them were crying.. including the teachers.. and guys .. especially during the singing session where the non Christians get to sing song of praise to th lord for the last time.. I rmbr the times too.. where the teachers form 2 rows..and we (graduating students) will have to walk in 1 row through the aisle.. as you see the teachers cry.. and you cry.. and huggings.. a truly memorable and touching moment! (:
She asked me, why cant we just remain in primary school? I want to be a fairsian forever…
My reply: Once a Fairsian, Always a Fairsian.. Life has to move on…
I dunnoe how much she understood from that.. but it really means a lot.. on how much we have not seen in life.. haix… anyway, I make use aof every opportunity to get back there (:
